About Us

Whanarua Bay Cottages are located along the Pacific Coast Highway (SH35). Whanarua Bay is halfway between Te Kaha and Waihau Bay. We are about an hour’s drive from Opotiki. We have 3 lovely cottages available in this beautiful and secluded bay. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms and is fully self-contained with kitchen and laundry facilities. Outdoor furniture and BBQ equipment are provided. Each cottage will sleep up to 5 people comfortably.

For the more energetic the track up to the top of Karirangi Point offers superb views of the bay. Go for a swim or do some rock fishing. You can even paddle out and explore the bay on one of our kayaks. Those who just want to relax can enjoy a quiet picnic on one of the 3 beaches or visit the macadamia orchard for a coffee in the café.
